As a reserved type of guy, exploring derelict and decaying buildings was always a dream out of my reach – I knew that as much as I wanted to do; I wouldn’t.
‘Taken by Nature’ was initially an idea born from a presentation brief I was given on my university course, in which I would have to prepare a 10 minute talk on anything I wanted. This suddenly became the perfect time for me to kickstart a dying ambition of mine.
A few days later, I was in a car travelling to Nettleham Hall (a mansion unfortunately burnt down in 1937 due to “unforeseen circumstance”) and weeks later Nocton Hall – an old RAF hospital.
Literally standing inside history is not only beautiful but very refreshing and I am hoping this project conveys that.
This project will be updated with new and edited photos until my presentation deadline – wish me luck.

Synopsis - A very cold 0° morning to visit the hall and outhouse but well worth it. Unbelievably easy access to both areas and an all round good and worthwhile trip.
